If you have been wandering around for some time as an internet marketer, then you will heard about backlink. But actually no normal person actually understands about backlink. So what is backlink? It is a link that point to your website from another website. There are 2 types of backlink:

·The normal http link that you commonly see. For example:

Backlinks are useful to get visitors to your site and improve your ranking in the search engine.

This is mainly the goal of why internet marketers build backlinks. Search engine will consider that your website is more trustworthy than other websites if you have more backlinks.. Just think this as if you find a lot of your friends, magazines, TV advertisement, and news recommending a certain movie. You will think that it is a good movie isn’t it?

Will any link do for SEO backlinks?

While it is highly unlikely to know how a search engine works unless you are in the company, at least there are some hints available and with a little bit of logic we can more or less determine what kind of links are good for building backlinks. Here are few points that will be useful in backlinks building:

·Quantity
Very simple, in essence the more links you have the better it will be.

·Quality backlinks
So what is the difference between a quality backlinks and those low quality backlinks? There is an indicator called page rank (PR) that can give a hint for us, but again it is only an indicator. It ranges from 0 to 10 and the higher the better. So if a website with a high PR has a link to your site then it will affect your site greatly. Some say that between quantity or quality, quality backlinks are more important. Another way is to put your link on an authority sites. Authority site is basically a website that is well established and has a huge influence.

·Anchor text backlinks
If you wish to rank certain a specific keyword, then you can use anchor text backlinks. Generally people will use the keyword for the text. Search engine will use the text as a clue of what your website is all about. The search engine prefers it if the website and the text are connected to each other. It will give more points and improve the ranking in the search engine.

·Relevant text
What I mean with text is the content around your link. So it is more desireable to build backlinks to your website on another website that is relevant to yours. If yours is about tennis, then building a link on a lose weight website will not be relevant. Whether it will affect your site negatively if the link is not on the relevant site is still debated, but why takes the risk?
